\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCHPN was launched in September 2016 as a local network for the Hunter Region in NSW. Since 2023, it has been open to all Australian Christians working in healthcare, including students, and extends to pastoral carers.

\n\nOur Network facilitates connections between Christian Health Professionals and works to promote the application of faith to our healthcare work in a sensitive, exemplary and loving manner.

\n\nWe achieve this by maintaining an online directory of Christian Health Professionals, a\u00a0Facebook Community,<\/a> <\/strong>and meeting together for prayer annually.

\n\nThe directory allows members to provide others with details of all their services, and to find other Christians in larger organisations, eg. hospitals, secular workplaces, and universities.It allows health professionals to identify as Christians for mutual support, even if they are not taking referrals.<\/b>

It also helps to facilitate referrals for patients who would benefit from a Christian approach to their health.<\/div>\n

\nPastoral carers can make\u00a0healthcare workers aware of social resources in their churches such as youth groups, playgroups or other practical assistance available, eg. meal rosters.
